I pray for all my friends and family who are sick, suffering, dealing with so very much.  HOPE is what we all need in our daily lives, but especially when we are in crisis.  Have you ever prayed for the dawn waiting second by second?  It might have been literal, day break when night is over or many times the dawn signifies the time when the veil of suffering, waiting and struggling is lifted and the light lifts us all.  Thanks be to God.

As we each move through our journeys here on earth, our days are filled with both  joy and sorrow.  Some days, some circumstances are just way more difficult to deal with and as humans we DO become tired and even weary.  Some circumstances are shorter-lived than others.  For some, dealing with our circumstances may even be a new “normal” in our lives.

Romans 15;13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  This verse is a wonderful reminder to us in those times that God is there!  Right with us.  When we think about it and even when we don’t.  He is EVER-PRESENT in our lives.

God makes use of the believer’s compassionate heart in His service.  Are you available to Him for His purposes in sharing His love with others?  I enjoy reading Henri Nouwen, the Dutch catholic priest, writer, and teacher having taught at Yale, Notre Dame and Harvard.  Nouwen says, ““We need to be angels for each other, to give each other strength and consolation. Because only when we fully realize that the cup of life is not only a cup of sorrow but also a cup of joy will we be able to drink it.”

I like his reference to our journeys as “the cup of life.”  Nouwen’s statement that the cup of life is filled with joys and sorrows and that our realization of that enables us to fully drink of it is powerful when you really think about it.

The song “HOPE Will Lead Us On,” by Barlow Girl says so much to me and it is a strong message to each person regardless of our circumstances.

I hope you enjoy it.
